Do you want to be a part of the guitar band?
Join the guitar class where students will learn
- fundamentals of music and musical instruments,
- history of music and guitar
- various guitar techniques,
- aural skills,
- rhythmic patterns,
- chord study,
- finger-picking styles,
- melody construction,
- musical forms and performing experiences,
- learning and singing songs,
Also will learn
- how to play different styles,
- how to read music scores and guitar tab.
Special attention will be given to
- the student's personality,
- individual abilities and skills.
This class will help students to develop creative approach to composing and performing. Students will learn and perform as a band, as well as will perform solo compositions.
At the end of the semester students will participate in a concert.
Each student will be placed into a guitar class based on skill level
(age from 3 and more, adults welcome)
Every member of the guitar class is a key performer and has a vital role in the musical ensemble.
The success of the entire ensemble depends upon EVERYONE attending each class.
Required Daily Equipment
1. Classical guitar -6-string guitar with nylon strings, full size.
Students are strongly recommended to provide privately owned instruments for use in class rehearsals, concerts and home practice.
