ChildCare: Rules and Regulations
1. REGISTRATION: Registration can be completed only by submitting all signed registration forms and the $60 registration fee. An interview by the Child Care Center director-Khano Aranbayeva or co-Director – Svetlana Nedoshitova is required to register a child initially. Spaces are reserved in the Center only with payment of this non-refundable fee.

2. TUITION DEPOSIT: At time of enrollment, a one-week non-refundable tuition deposit will be charged for the first week of child’s tuition.

3. TUITION: Child Care fees are based upon childcare schedule. Parents are required to pay for the services in advance on a weekly bases. Payment of $140 per week will be accepted every Monday morning from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. The $140 applies only for parents that registered their child for full week services, even if the child is absent from the Center . There are no sick days, except in the case of an extended illness of two or more weeks. Parents will pay 50 % of tuition for the first two weeks of the illness but will be relieved from responsibility of payment for the period following these two weeks with a note from the physician. In the event that the Center closes for weather or an emergency, there will be no charge to parents. The King David Academy reserves the right to increase tuition with 30 days-advanced written notice.

If parent chooses to schedule child to come on a part time schedule (one, two or three times a week), King David Academy need to know which days of the week it is scheduled for. Payment of $30 per day is required Parents are responsible for paying for those days no matter if child attended or not attended the program. If parent would like to bring their child some other day, instead of the scheduled missed days ,they can do so and transfer tuition to the additional day they attended.

4. PAYMENT DAY: Payment is due on the first weekday that the child attends.

5. LATE PAYMENT PENALTY: If payment is not made by Thursday of each week a late fee of $10 will be added to your account. The King David Academy reserves the right to discontinue services to any family that is in arrears or that has repeated occasions of paying late. When payment becomes one full calendar week behind, the child may not return to the Center until payment has been made. The slot will be held for only one week.


6. RETURNED CHECK CHARGE: There will be a $30 charge for any check returned for insufficient funds. After more than one check is returned , cash, money order, or certified check only will be accepted from the family.

7. LATE PICK-UP: King David Academy is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00 pm. Pick-up time and closing time are strictly observed. A $5 late charge will be added for every 10 minutes (or any part thereof) that the parent picks up the child after the Center closes.

8. HOLIDAYS: The Center will be closed for the major legal holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day ,Christmas Day, Yom Kippur. There will be no deduction in the tuition rate for the holidays.

9. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE CENTER: Parents may withdraw their children from the Center or reduce their schedule by giving two weeks writing
notice in advanced.

10. OPERATING SCHEDULE: The King David Academy is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday year round. Hours of operation and / or major legal holiday closings are subject to change with a 30-day advanced notice given to the parents.

11. SICKNESS: By state regulation, children may not come to the Center if they are sick. Children who become ill while at the Center will be placed in isolation briefly while the parent is contacted to have the child picked up as soon as possible. There are no sick days except for in the case of extended illness (see 33), and payment is required even if children are absent due to illness. Parents must call the center by 9:00 a.m. to report absences.

12. PHYSICAL: Prior to attending the Center all children are required by The State to have Immunization Record from Health Department or doctor’s office on file in the Center. Parents are required to update new immunizations on yearly bases.

13. MEDICATIONS: The nurse, health advocate or administrative staff may give medication only when: the medication is in the original labeled container, the Center is provided with a set of written instructions, signed by a physician; and the parent has logged in and signed medication instructions. This policy also applies to all over the counter medications.


14. NAPS: Children under age five are required to have a rest period daily if they attend the Center full days. The Center will provide a clean cot or crib for every child. Parents must provide a labeled blanket. Parents must take home blankets at least weekly to be washed.

15. CLOTHING: Parents are required to provide at least one complete change of clothes to be left at the Center in case of accidents. These clothes must be labeled and need to be changed as the child grows and as the seasons change. All children must have warm outdoor clothing and boots in winter, as they will be going outside most days. Sunscreen must be provided in warm weather.

16. MEALS: Meals are planned by a dietician to be nutritional and well balanced. Children will be served the approved Center meals unless a physician or parent provides a written letter of exemption for a child based upon special dietary needs.

17. ARRIVAL AND PICK-UP: Parents are required to walk their children into their classroom, sign them in, and turn them over to a caregiver. At the end of the day, the children must be signed out and will be released ONLY to parents or family member that the center has a record of.

18. INFANT CARE: Until infants are not on table food, parents may choose to provide baby food and prepared bottles. Parents must also leave at the Center a crib-sized blanket, diapers, and several changes of clothes. Food and bottles must be brought into the center and will be sent back home each day. Parents will be asked to complete an Infant Schedule form at parent orientation. All infant materials must be labeled including bottles.
